‘CAT WOMANS’ TRAINER & STUNT DOUBLE TO OPEN NEW MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL IN BEXHILL

Tuesday September 4th 2012 sees the opening of a new Martial Arts school in Bexhill, under the guidance of Chief Instructor Robin Holmes 4th Degree. The Martial Arts Centre - Bexhill will teach the Korean traditional martial art of Kuk Sool Won, which was recently featured on ITV’s Let’s Get Gold Programme.
The new club will be officially opened by Robin’s long-term training partner and 3rd Degree Kuk Sool Black Belt, Maxine Whittaker, who is also an internationally acclaimed stunt woman. Maxine’s latest role has been in ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’, not only as Cat Women’s stunt double, but also as Ann Hathaway’s personal trainer. Robin and Maxine achieved their 1st Degree Black belts together in 2000, their 2nd Degrees in 2003 and their 3rd degrees in 2006. Robin went on to achieve his 4th degree in 2010, and Maxine had to choose between her love for Kuk Sool and her professional work. So, on this occasion, Hollywood won!
The opening night will see a FREE public display of Kuk Sool with high-ranking black belts performing. There will also be a FREE Kuk Sool ‘try it and see’ session where members of the public can experience what a Kuk Sool class is like, and then to finish off the evening, Maxine will conduct a FREE Cat Woman Body Conditioning class, again for members of the public. Children and adults from 5-65 are all welcome to take part in these ’try it and see’ sessions.
The new School will run Junior and Adult beginner’s classes and throughout September, will be offering free introductory lessons, as well as a free suit to the first 30 students joining the class! Anyone joining on the first evening will also get a 50% discount on their Membership, as well as their September training for free! Anyone interested should telephone 01323 416634 or 07540 179194 for further details or look up the School’s website at: www.martialartsbexhill.com
